One of my favorite things to do in our home is to make wholesome and delicious food for the people I love because it never ceases to amaze me the way that good food brings people together.
When I was 16, well before the days of Pinterest and Instagram, my mom and I would peruse the pages of Country Living Magazine together. I would clip out pictures that inspired me to create a beautiful home for my family, and my mom would save them in a manilla envelop. That envelop resides in the secretary desk right next to my side of the bed, and it’s amazing to me that the feel of those aged and torn pictures is the same feel of the home I’ve been crafting the last 10 years outside my hometown.
